Swimming Sprint Clinic
Experience one of BYU’s Sprint Clinics this summer. BYU Swimming Head Coach Tamber McAllister and her team of coaches will lead swimmers through the training methods that have propelled BYU athletes to the top-tier of swimming’s sprint competition—BYU sprinters have qualified for the NCAA championships in four of the past six years and have competed in the past three US Olympic Trials.
Camp attendees will work on reaction time, stroke technique, turns, finishes, race strategy, and starts. Resistance and power will be implemented in the workouts. It is recommended that participants have competed in at least one competition prior to attending the clinic.
The Sprint Clinics are at the pools in BYU’s Richards Building. The Clinics run 10:00 am-2:00 pm on Friday and from 10:00 am-noon on Saturday. On Friday, there is a one-hour break for lunch, which is provided.
Check-in is at the pool complex at 9:30 am on the first day of the Clinic.
Bring your swimsuit and goggles and come ready to swim.
BYU Swimming’s Sprint Clinics have a limited enrollment, so register as soon as possible.
This is not an overnight camp.
