Winter Baseball Camp
BYU Baseball is putting on two separate winter baseball camps December 28-29, 2023. The High School Baseball Winter Showcase and the Youth Baseball Skills Camp. Information for each of these camps can be found below.
The BYU Baseball Winter Showcase and Skills Camp is for boys ages 14-18 and is designed for athletes serious about playing baseball at the next level. The BYU Baseball coaching staff will provide the opportunity for each athlete to showcase and improve their baseball skills and gain a competitive advantage as they compete for opportunities at the next level.
Morning Track – (10:30 am – 1:00 pm)
DEFENSE – Players must select their position during registration (Pitcher, Catcher, Infielder, Outfielder) and will work at that position over the two days.
Afternoon Track – (2:00pm – 4:30pm)
Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of the showcase in the Indoor Practice Facility (IPF). Your session start time is determined by whether you signed up for the Morning Track (Defense), the Afternoon Track (Hitting), or both.
Lunch is NOT provided between the two tracks.
The Youth Baseball Skills Camp will be held in the Indoor Practice Facility and will include both individual skill development and a chance to play instructional games. Specific areas that will be covered are:
- Individual Defense
- Team Defense
- Pitching & Catching
- Throwing and Playing Catch
- Base Running & Speed Development
- And much more!
Each player will be put on a team and play in these games. The goal of the games is to see the players put what they have learned throughout the camp on the field. Each game will have roaming instructors to help the players while the game is in progress.
The Youth Baseball Skills Camp runs from 8 AM - 10:30 AM. Check-in begins at 7:30 AM on December 28th in the Indoor Practice Facility.
