Are you looking to make the 2026 track season your best one yet? Join BYU Assistant Distance Coach Ryan Waite for insights into how BYU has become the premier distance running program in the nation, and how you can apply those principles to your upcoming track season.

Participants will learn principles of training, warm up, strength and conditioning, drills, developing a kick, sports psychology, recovery, and nutrition, with hands on application of each subject. They will participate in discussions about what they need to do to prepare for running at the collegiate level and hear experiences Coach Waite has learned in his time working with conference champions, All-Americans, NCAA Champions, and Olympians, and how they can apply these lessons to their own running.

On the final day there will an opportunity to do a workout applying all of the principles that have been learned during the two days.

Location: SFH Indoor Track

Housing: Not available, off campus only

Additional notes:

On Dec. 29 participants will not run at the camp, they will need to get a run in on their own if that is what they need for their training.

On Dec. 30 participants will have the opportunity to do an optional workout in the final 2 hours of the camp. The workout is not required for the camp if it does not line up with that athlete's training plan.

Both days, come dressed in athletic clothing as we will participate in a series of drills and exercises.

Meals will not be provided. Participants will need to bring their own lunch each day.

Registration will open Thursday, November 6 at 9 a.m. MT.
